Writing in math class

Blogging could be one of the main ways that I can incorporate writing in my math classes. The subject matter itself does not lend itself to writing, but by using blogs the students would be forced to write about questions that they have and I could help the students with the writing that they submit in their posts and comments.

    I agree with what you are saying. I am picking up what you are putting down. I elieve there is a need for writing but there will be difficulty implememting this in a very busy math class.

    This might be an activity that could be done outside of class. It could be a homework assignment, or something to work on in study hall. In this way it seems a little more natural for the students to respond in writing rather than out loud during class time.
